Synopsis:
Rob Branson plays out his character's origins. The Christmas Bomber strikes!! Guy Dandy Pierce shows up in the campaign (Grr).

Details:
Rob Branson plays a meek librarian named Marion Dexter that works at the very branch library where Stand-In and The Mad Hatter had an explosive encounter, back in issue number Seven. Essentially, the blast of feedback from these two put this poor librarian in a coma for almost a month. When he awoke, he had strange darkness powers of some type.

Meanwhile, the Christmas bomber reaped havoc on Christmas eve, killing thousands. Explosive Christmas packages with huge bows and lots of explosive power were delivered all downtown, killing many. Robin managed to put a stop to that before they all went off, and the person captured had apparently been brainwashed and didn't understand what was happening to him.

Stand-In experienced a cinematic rescue of a child from the clutches of a Terrorist who had rigged a building downtown to blow sky high! The timer was 5:33 or something like that, but he easily saved the girl, punched a bad guy (who mysteriously disintegrated, making the Stand-In feel awkward and somewhat guilty), and handed over the detonator to police, who disarmed it. Strangely, a half an hour later, the bomber was back again!! Stand-In again approached the building and he still saw a timer with 5:33 left. A golden box was discovered on the second floor and he managed to save all the children in that time, though with the last child he had to leap off the building and glide, taking a bullet from the Christmas Bomber (however many of them there are). Stand-In survived and saved the children but the building blew up.

Elsewhere in town, the building that Stan Rainey (Mr. Clean) lives in suffered a bombing from the Christmas bomber as well, and the building collapsed, killing hundreds. A Merry Christmas it wasn't. Mr. Clean saved some people but couldn't save most of them.

Finally, the second floor of the Mall of Canada was bombed, killing a majority of the people on the second floor.

The person Robin had caught was interrogated but seemed to have been mind controlled and was held for further questioning, but some invisible force be-headed him while in custody.

In the aftermath of the bombings, the city was stunned. Guy Dandy Pierce, a new rich guy on the scene, used his high technology to dig through the rubble and save some trapped people. Guy Dandy Pierce's high technology and ubiquitous presence overshadowed everything the heroes have done to this point in the game. Oops?

Also, the Mall of Canada was miraculously rebuild by the next day, as if nothing had happened. However, the dead were not returned to life.

During this adventure, Stand-In turned his life around by severing all ties to friends, letting his manservant go (with full lifetime pay and benefits), and restructuring his life around his original identity. His name change back to his original name, Peter Green, was finally completed. His friends were left behind.

For some reason, I think in this adventure, Marion Dexter and the Stand-In spoke to the Silver Eagle about possibly getting something from the underground facility or doing something. I don't recall what it was. Silver Eagle said no, and Stand-In told him he personally agreed with the Silver Eagle about its inadvisability, but had promised to ask anyway.
