ISSUE #15
"Goblins Under Foot"

Game Master: Phil
Players: Robin, Lewis, Robert-S
PCs: Robin, Stand-In, Husk
Experience: 1, 3, 3 respectively

Synopsis:
Goblins and Hobgoblins cause havoc, and Guy Dandy Pierce is discovered to be the villain behind it all.

Details:
Goblins begin killing and eating policemen at night. They hurl energy balls that blow through their cars. Then they feed. Stand-In manages to follow some but ends up draining a goblin of Night Vision instead of Strength, thereby changing his perception of how his draining power works. Then the goblin clocked Stand-In, who had to run to a prearranged meeting place with Husk so that the Husk could help him defeat the goblin in pursuit. Robin was close behind but didn't manage to assist.

(Robin or [Unnamed]?) had to leave the game early.

Husk ended up discovering a detective who was close to cracking the Christmas Bomber case, but kept having his mind altered by a Hobgoblin. The detective could never put the case together because of it. Husk captured the Hobgoblin in question. The Hobgoblin claimed he was doing it so that nobody would find out about Guy Dandy Pierce, because if GDP discovered people were "on" to him, things would get worse really quickly. The Hobgoblin claims to oppose GDP, who uses his people as slaves. They come from some other dimension, and it has something to do with the cyclotron.

Husk found a remote cave in which to imprison the Hobgoblin while he tried to verify the claims, and for quite some time fed him hamburgers. It turns out the Hobgoblin's teleport amulet was magical, because Husk found an occult shop that actually knew something about the underground occult society in town. However, the rings and other items the Hobgoblin had were not magic but technological, and made by GDP.

Eventually, Stand-In and Husk teamed up to go talk to the Hobgoblin and do some other things (I forget what) and it turned out that GDP could track some of the Hobgoblin's possessions. In the end, a helicopter from GDP chased the heroes through the woods and mountains, shooting missiles at them and sending men after them. The players escaped.

Also in this episode, Stand-In and Husk discussed plans to establish a base of operations on the water, since Alley Cat had kicked out all the eroes once Wes Craven died (since she owns the "clubhouse" now as a condition of the Will and Testament).

Guy Dandy Pierce then announced on TV that he had build a "harmless" cyclotron under the city and that be built it. He agreed to ease any concerns and answer all questions. That means he is evil ... as if we didn't already know that. Omnipotent, Ever-Present, AND Evil. Who would have known?
