ISSUE #2 "Origins #2" Game Master: Chris Players: Lewis, Robert-S PCs: Stand-In, Husk Experience Points Awarded: 2 points each Synopsis: In this adventure, more players role-played their origin stories and explored their powers and backgrounds. Details: Lewis plays Peter Green, a comic book and murder mystery enthusiast. He changed his legal name at age 19 to Lamont Cranston dued to his infatuation with The Shadow, and other pulp vigilante heroes. Recently, Lamont inherited an incredible inheritance from relatives he never knew he had (Peter/Lamont grew up as an orphan), and he is still used to being poor and acting poor even though he has great wealth at his disposal. Lamont had a businessman friend named Gerald Waltz. He and Lamont were friends because of a common interest in comic books. Gerald called Lamont from a classy restaurant for business executives. Gerald was quite drunk. Lamont tried to get his friend to leave peacefully without making a scene but his friend bequeathed his magical Fez to Lamont. Then Gerald jumped off the building! The friend vanished, and Lamont called in the police to look for the body but none was found. To Lamont's surprise, he was now in possession of a Magic Top-hat (the Fez transformed when it changed hands) that, when donned, made Lamont Terribly Mysterious. Robert Schoenberger plays a bum (whose name I don't know. I need to get it for the game log). His background was special ops work for the Canadian government, and he saw and did a few too many things in his day, so he hit the bottle and lived in the street. In the cold of winter, he agreed to volunteer for experiments and tests by a hair-product company, in exchange for food and clothing. In a lab accident caused by super villains (The Mad Hatter, and The Killer Clown), he fell prey to a horrible explosion. His humanity was lost and he became a colony of about 1000 bugs that re-grow a skin-like shell after each 5 hour rest cycle. The "skin" allows him to appear human, until / unless his bugs swarm out, ripping it open until the next covering is grown. The character is now known to others only as "Husk". Lamont Cranston explored with his powers and discovered none, except the ability to walk on walls (gravity becomes re-oriented). However his top-hat does lead to a mysterious dimension where some kind of creature lives. The creature likes Cola Cola, but it has a hard time opening the cans. Husk investigated the companies that experimented on him, in order to learn what he had become. In the process, he bluffed some executives in order to get some information about any illicit products the hair-care company was working on. He discovered a possible plot using Blue Bunny ice cream as mind control. While investigating Evers Pharmacuticals, he fought some clones. Later he researched something about the kind of bugs he was comprised of.
