Synopsis:
In this adventure, Will role-played the origin of The Iron Chef, and several heroes assembled to deal with a sudden attack of flaming bestial hounds.

Details:
Will plays a Japanese-native sushi chef named Morimoto Michiba who moved to Canada to try to make his fortune in the big city. He discovered that his entire life may be a fake, because he is apparently an android. He got a hasty letter of warning from his "father" in the mail along with a thumb, complete with data ports and a scar identical to the one on Morimoto's thumb. After working up the courage to take his old thumb off and use the new one, he "activated" and he determined that he was an android. He decided to dub himself The Iron Chef, though having made no real decision what to do with himself at this point, the naming was only known to himself.

Reports of 2 attacks, one on the American side (Klamath) and one on the Canadian side (Rochelle) drew the players into a fight. All the players were near the Canadian side, so they all individually met at the scene of large flaming bestial hounds destroying part of downtown. This happened to take place a block from The Iron Chef's place of work (a Sushi bar, that he also lives above, in the back, because he is renting a room from the owner).

In addition to several large flaming dogs, there were also a couple of villainous mystics, one a sorcerer and one a martial artist with a spear. These individuals also attacked the party. The sorcerer was defeated but the spear-wielding stranger put The Beholder down and fled, using his spear to teleport away. The identities of these miscreants are unknown.

The Beholder discovered he had a cone attack, and Mr. Clean discovered he can dehydrate enemies and that he has telekinetic control of water. In fact, Mr. Clean helped stop the fires that the dogs' flaming bodies started. The Iron Chef discovered that he can shoot smoke grenades, but he got another arm in a UPS package, so he suspects he has other abilities. Robin learned that she sometimes heals from severe wounds, and that sometimes thorns (that hurt her) extrude from her body. She also discovered she can't control her form exactly but that it is always wooden or tree-like in some way.

Also in this adventure, Wes Craven, their new mentor, signed some of the heroes onto salaries. Actually, the agreements were still verbal at this point, except for Wolfie, who negotiated his year of pay in advance for a fund for his sister's future. Wes did go ahead and give access to a "clubhouse" on the river, one he used to operate out of back when he was the high-tech hero Streethawk. His former side-kick, Alley Cat, operates out of there currently, and the heroes were told simply that his former partner lives there too. The clubhouse consists of 2 above-ground stories, a partially below-ground story (a sloping street/hill allows the garage there to open on the road, and a speed-boat dock is out back), and a fully below-ground story. Cameras and the like monitor the street and a code or a key allows access. Mr. Clean moved in at this point and re-decorated the entry level with an Indian motif.
