ISSUE #8 "Mall Rats" Game Master: Phil Players: Chris, Glenda, Lewis, Robert-S PCs: Mr. Clean, Golden Girl, Stand-In, Husk (respectively) Experience Points Awarded: 2 Synopsis: The heroes fight some super powered teenagers. Overall, the heroes are humbled. Notes on the NPCs: Details: Several kids were stealing things at the Mall of Canada. They were displaying super powers, so the news media and police were surrounding the place. The heroes went in to try to stop the kids from stealing all the video games and mall junk they were trying to take. In the encounter, Husk had his leg phased out into another dimension but within a day or so he managed to get control of it again. Mr. Clean was knocked unconscious and turned into a puddle of water for a while, in part by the attacks from the teenagers and in part because of some friendly fire from Golden Girl. Oops! The Stand-In was barely in the fight; he couldn't get to the 4th floor in time. There were 4 kids that were villains. Two were teenaged boys. One of them was surrounded in a dark void and threw bits of himself at his enemies. One of them sent out a shockwave when he would step on the ground. I do not recall the powers of the other two, but they were teenaged girls. Later, Golden Girl discovered that Wes Craven had been shot in the head in his own home. At this time, Stand-In and Golden Girl met Stan Rainey at the scene of the murder, but Stand-In and Golden Girl were somewhat star-struck. At the time, Golden Girl and Stand-In didn't know Stan Rainey was Mr. Clean. It was discovered from the autopsy that the bullet had a logo on it: A spiked tail, the symbol of Manticore (though the heroes didn't immediately know what it meant). During this game, some university students (at least one of whom may have had a fake I.D.) asked Beholder to become involved in a physics research project oriented around high energy. They had figured out (and it wasn't hard) that Wolfie and the Beholder are one in the same. He negotiated a college tuition for his sister Andrea. Also, during this game, Husk started working on his underworld contacts for forgeries and fake I.D.s and things to make his life easier.
