ISSUE #24 "Strike Of The Motley Crew" Game Master: Chris Players: April, Glenda, Lewis, Joe, Phil PCs: Iron Maiden, Golden Girl, Stand-In, Robin, Beholder (respectively) Experience Points Awarded: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (respectively) Synopsis: The heroes learn about a robbery in progress. They face an assortment of villains organized (presumably) by Beholder's former talent agent, Randy. Details: Stand-In hired some workers to fix the damage that was done to his home by the "evil" scimitars. One of the workers was a Goblin. Apparently since GDP was exposed and investigated, lots of goblins needed work and one of them got a job using his magical repair powers as a stonemason. Golden Girl found a civil-war era box (I dont remember if she found it during this adventure or not) and started investigating it. It contained a letter to a lover from a soldier about some treasure being true and the soldier's tour of duty ending soon. The soldier died before he could deliver it. Strangely, there was a modern letter addressed to Golden Girl that had been sealed in the box since the Civil War (this lead to The Time-Hopping Toad adventure, in issue #25). Beholder went drinking with Silver Eagle #1 in the Silver Eagle's new sky car. The Mad Hatter and the Killer Clown were on a building and the Killer Clown (who escaped in issue #16) was using his technology-nullifying powers to bring down a passenger plane. There were no known survivors. The Silver Eagle's flying car also lost power and crashed. Beholder managed to survive but the Silver Eagle went missing, presumed dead. A new Silver Eagle (Silver Eagle #2) soon replaced him (and appears in Issue #25). Beholder charged over the border guard (and took a shot or two I believe) and encountered the Mad Hatter and Killer Clown. The Clown escaped, unbeknownst to the Beholder. Mad Hatter used Illusions to make a helicopter pilot (injured when a helicopter strayed into the anti-technology radius) appear to be the Killer Clown so Beholder shot him (and barely avoided killing an innocent). The main adventure involved a bank robbery on the Canadian side (I think). More details to come about the main adventure. |
